It is with great saddness and tears in my eyes that I tell you that , one of our friends , player, Cyril (SPOO) died on Friday evening 5 October 2012. He was involved in a car accident.
Cyril our good friend, thanks for the big efforts you put on the soccer field, the good laughs you gave us. May you Rest in Peace
The Queensburgh Girls ( Berco Express sponsored team ) played their first proper match on Wednesday 22/08/12 against Northlands girls . The match didn't start to well as the girls look nervous and before they knew it they were 2 nil down. The coach shouted to them to believe in them selves and this they did, and before long they had drawn level and started looking the better team. Half time came and the coach gave the girls words of encouragement and this seem to help them play even better and mid way through the second half the girls scored the winner. It was great to see hard training pay off, and it was encouraging TO SEE HOW HAPPY THE GIRLS WERE.
Win 1 Soon through management has started putting a little back into the game , in coaching the Queensburgh Girls High School under 16 team. The girls played in a 6 a side tournament at Crawford College ,out of 7 matches they won 4 , drew 1 and lost 2.
A big Thank You must go to Berco Express who have kindly sponsored the girls a new kit. The girls were over the moon when they were handed their new kit. I will keep you up to date as to when they are playing and the results.
11 July 2012 was a sad day for Win 1 Soon FC as our Captain ( Allan ) of 6 years had to leave us due to work commitments . He is leaving , in his words for green pastures. We wish him and his family all the best and we will continue to try and play well to make him proud that he can say I was the Captian of our team.
In sending him off we had to play the second best team in the league for his last game , and I am sure he was proud of the boys effort in that we played well and won well , 4 one against BOB.

The team now has a new playing kit. (not to be missed).
