Golf Day for Cancer
Sunday 21/02/2010 was a day to remember. A mashie golf day was held to raise some funds for one of our player's wife Alta. ( who has breast cancer and needs help to pays some of her bills) The day was well supported by friends and players of our club, the responds from everybody was we must do it again. Most of the people who supported the day can't even play golf and this added to all the fun people had. Some people even managed to hit the ball 90* ,which most golfers can't do.( Allan Chetiar ). The winner of the golf was Peter Vink.
The lady of the day Alta won the ladies prize.
Not only did we raise some nice monies to give to Alta ,but thanks to a good friend of Win 1 Soon , (Anthony Ackerman who framed a Win 1 Soon soccer kit ) we were able to give this to Alta so that whenever she feels down ,she can look at the framed kit and remember that we are with her through these tough times.
